About Me
Hello...
My name is Kelly Sampson and I would consider myself a crafty person. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and working with colors. I remember as a girl gazing at a box of crayons and absolutely falling in love with the rainbow of colors. I have always been intrigued by art, all forms of art.
I was introduced to lampworking when I was creating jewelry approximately 4 years ago. I would spend hours on my computer staring at beautiful glass beads and one day decided to give it a try. Most forms of art have always come very easy to me. I took a class with hopes of leaving that first class with a gorgeous work of art. Well much to my surprise, I couldn't even make a round bead. I had grown a new found respect for glass artists. They are amazing. Since that day, I have spent countless hours studying books and chatting with wonderful lampworkers and learning this awesome craft.
I absolutely love making lampwork beads and watching the colors melt in the fire and form into a bead. I am currently the owner of a bead shop in Tallmadge, Ohio called Jazzy Gems where my lampwork beads are displayed. They are fun to touch and of course the colors are better in person. But for those of you who cannot visit my lampwork beads in person, browse around my store and hopefully you will find something you like.
